Former Unique Mobility marketing manager brings expertise to Permobil
Having spent almost half a decade helping Unique Mobility develop into one of the South West’s leading mobility dealers, Barry Reeve has now joined Permobil as a Product Rehabilitation Specialist.
Headquartered in Sweden, Permobil is an international supplier of a wide array of mobility products, including powerchairs, manual wheelchairs, power add-ons, cushions and more.
In his new role, Barry will now manage some of Permobil’s key accounts throughout the southern region of the UK, focusing on the company’s powerchair offering.
Discussing the decision to change roles, Barry told THIIS that he was motivated to join Permobil after working with the company’s range of products over the last couple of years.
“I feel that we have some of the best products that the market has to offer,” he said.
“The reliability of Permobil products allows me to have confidence when approaching dealers.”
In addition, he emphasised the company’s ethics, noting that he believed the company has a “great culture,” having worked closely with the supplier’s UK team during his time at Unique Mobility.
Reflecting on how his experience in the retail side of the sector will help him in his new role, the former Adaptations and Marketing Manager added: “I learned a lot whilst working at Unique Mobility. I have a good understanding of what a dealer is expecting from a manufacturer when supplying products to their customers.
“I have also worked closely with a lot of other manufacturers and competitors, which has given me a good understanding of the market.
“I am really looking forward to meeting all my customers and want to understand their needs. I am ready to get stuck in, push boundaries, and build on the foundations that have been laid.”
