TYrade Days entrance
Closerstill, the organiser behind the recently ended Trader Days, has launched a new healthcare trade event

Closerstill Media, the group behind healthcare trade events including The OT Show, the Health + Care series of events and The Pharmacy Show, is continuing to develop its healthcare trade show portfolio with the launch of the Respiratory Show.

Taking place on the 9th-10th October 2019 at Birmingham’s NEC at the same time as its Care Show, the event will focus on respiratory care after the NHS Long Term Plan published in January 2019 highlighted respiratory disease as a clinical priority area, giving new focus to improving the delivery of care.

In particular, the NHS’ document identified late diagnosis, variation in service provision, geographic and socio-economic inequalities, rising emergency admissions and poor international comparisons as challenges to be overcome.

The new event will support the NHS Long Term Plan says Closerstill, aiming to provide better training for those who deliver respiratory care; better uptake and availability of pulmonary rehabilitation and provision of appropriately resourced respiratory care closer to home.

According to Closerstill, following research, it emphasised that the respiratory community is in need of an event that allows professionals in the area to be able to meet, learn, network, enhance skills, share best practice, and plan for the future.

Delegates will also have access to over 30 hours of free, clinical accredited CPD training aimed specifically at the needs of respiratory professionals across both primary and secondary care.

The launch of the new show follows Closerstill’s announcement in March 2019 of the end of Trade Days, the mobility industry’s only trade-exclusive event, with the exhibition specialists noting that trading in the sector had evolved and become more difficult for all.
