Export sales help drive recovery for Terry Lifts as it looks forward to a strong trading year ahead
Terry Lifts has reported that strong overseas sales, particularly from Australian, Italian, French and South Korean markets, are driving the lift manufacturer’s recovery as it looks ahead to a positive trading year to come.
According to the Cheshire-based homelift supplier, the marked growth in international sales drove the first wave of its production staff to return to work.
“During the peak of the crisis, we only stopped manufacturing lifts for a few weeks but due to our robust manufacturing and operations processes, we still had stock ready to go,” commented Peter Morrey, Managing Director of Terry Lifts.
“This enabled us to fulfil orders from those export customers who were able to accept deliveries.”
During the peak of the pandemic, the company says it continued to manufacture spare parts for its service engineers.
“It was critical that we maintained the service and repair of lifts for vulnerable users,” continued Peter.
“Fortunately, taking the necessary precautions, we found a way of working which kept both our staff and customers safe.”
Notably, the lift specialist highlighted the benefits of its fully UK-based supply chain, providing it with the capability to continue production.
“We did not experience any detrimental supply issues, unlike some companies who were adversely affected by import complications,” stated Peter.
“This is testament to our decision to utilise a UK-based supply chain, and while many of our suppliers were operating at reduced capacity, we worked with them carefully to coordinate our orders and deliveries to minimise problems.”
Concluding, Peter added: “Despite global economic uncertainty, we remain positive about the trading year ahead. We are a British manufacturer with a UK-based supply chain and this, we believe, is a powerful place to be as customers seek the assurance of British-made products.
“We have built a strong forward sales position and we look forward to proceeding along the road to recovery, determined to deliver our long-term, sustainable goals.”https://thiis.co.uk/export-sales-help-drive-recovery-for-terry-lifts-as-it-looks-forward-to-a-strong-trading-year-ahead/https://i0.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Terry-Lifts-homelift-in-living-room.jpg?fit=900%2C595&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/Terry-Lifts-homelift-in-living-room.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Coronavirus NewsCOVID-19 Trade NewsNewsroomSupplier NewsTrade NewsCheshire,coronavirus,COVID-19,home lifts,Peter Morrey, production,Terry Lifts, trading positionTerry Lifts has reported that strong overseas sales, particularly from Australian, Italian, French and South Korean markets, are driving the lift manufacturer’s recovery as it looks ahead to a positive trading year to come.According to the Cheshire-based homelift supplier, the marked growth in international sales drove the first wave...Calvin BarnettCalvin Barnettcalvin@thiis.co.ukAdministratorTHIIS Magazine
