Scoozy C Red Dot Award
The Scoozy C mobility scooter has been given a Red Dot Award for international design.

The Scoozy C electric mobility scooter has been awarded the Red Dot Award 2022 for international design, one of the biggest design competitions in the world and an internationally recognised seal of excellent design.

Previous well-known winners of the Red Dot Award include Bose, Philips, Maserati, WHILL Inc. and Sony.

As the Scoozy was tested and judged as the best by an international jury of experts, the award win confirms that the product meets the highest standards.

Job van de Kieft, CEO and Co-Founder of the Scoozy, exclusively commented to THIIS: “I see winning the Red Dot Award as a major recognition that Scoozy succeeded in reinventing the mobility scooter: freeing people of fear, shame and boundaries with a mobility device which enables you to go anywhere adventure leads you.”

In 2022, designers, design offices and manufacturers from around 60 countries entered products in the Red Dot Award.

Following the motto “In search of good design and innovation”, the 48 international members of the Red Dot Jury assessed each product.

A hybrid of a mobility scooter and a powered wheelchair the Scoozy features an advanced, semi-independent suspension system, 16″ wheels with a powerful drive, and an ergonomic seat.

The standard lithium-ion battery found on the Scoozy C supplies a range of 50km and a top speed of 15km/h. However, the battery can be upgraded to provide a proud range of 100km.

The Dutch-designed and manufactured Scoozy also features safety measures, such as the joystick steering and active brake. The adaptive speed and limited steering systems protect the user against making too sharp a turn at higher speeds.

One of the latest additions to the TGA Mobility range in the UK, the Scoozy was first showcased to end users and trade professionals at Naidex 2021 in Birmingham where it also won the ‘Technology of the year Award 2021’. According to Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director, the scooter “turned many heads” at the show, especially when it was put through its paces on a test track.
