EVO wheelchairEvo Mobility, a subsidiary of UK-based mobility innovation firm Propel Energy, has announced the launch of the Evo PT, a UK-manufactured self-balancing personal transporter for users with diverse accessibility needs.

Not just an electric wheelchair, the Evo PT is a versatile and robust two-wheeled solution designed for indoor, outdoor, and off-road use.

Designed with a focus on safety, comfort, and affordability, the Evo PT can be used around the home, for shopping trips and for outdoor adventures.

The two-wheeled, self-balancing personal transporter offers a top speed of six or nine kilometres per hour (selectable) and a 20 -38km range. The transporter weighs 43kg (with batteries) and offers a maximum load of 120kg.

Made from lightweight aluminium and available in white/black it has an adjustable padded seat with a foldable backrest.

“We created the Evo PT to give people more than just mobility—we wanted to deliver independence and a sense of empowerment,” said a spokesperson from Evo Mobility. “With cutting-edge self-balancing technology, users can move safely and freely across various terrains.”

The Evo PT uses a unique auto safety gyro system, an independent safety mechanism that always ensures balance and security.

Forward and backward motion is controlled by shifting body weight, while a joystick or the steer bar version allows smooth left and right turns. With this intuitive system, users are always in full control, without the need to manually balance.

Priced at £12,640, VAT exemption is available on the Evo PT with a valid certificate; the company can help with this process. Flexible finance options are also available through Evo Mobility’s partner finance providers.

Product demonstrations and brochures can be booked via the website here or by calling 01525 376916.
