Etac to unveil new assistive paediatric product at upcoming Kidz exhibition
Assistive equipment manufacturer Etac R82 will be launching its new R82 Rabbit Up mobile standing frame for disabled children at Kidz to Adultz Middle on the 21st of March 2019.
The R82 Rabbit Up is a new prone frame that provides both static and mobile standing; it also provides greater flexibility and freedom for young users.
Its robust design is suitable for use indoors and out and includes self-propel removable wheels for independent mobility. The wheels have been designed with closed push rims and an adjustable camber angle for easier propulsion – enhanced by a narrow frame for better manoeuvrability. When a stationary position is required, the wheels can quickly be removed by a caregiver or parent, so ergonomic access to school desks and play tables is possible.
In addition, the Rabbit Up facilitates eye level engagement with other children, allowing for greater participation and inclusion. Through its adaptable prone support, children can access standing therapy and the ability to enhance motor skills and upper body muscle function.
This exercise is increased with the addition of self-propel wheels, whilst safety is assured with four stabilising castors. The R82 Rabbit Up can be configured to suit the individual needs of children aged one to eighteen and is available in four sizes.
Alongside the Rabbit Up at Kidz Middle, Etac R82 will be demonstrating several examples from its award-winning equipment range for children. These will include the x:panda seating system, dynamic Meerkat stander and Mustang anterior/posterior gait trainer.
Etac R82 can be visited on stand D1 at Kidz Middle, which takes place on the 21st of March from 9:30am – 4:30pm at the Ericsson Exhibition Hall in the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
