Adult and paediatric mobility equipment specialist Etac R82 will be offering a range of practical CPD-accredited seminars on its stand at the OT Show.

Available for occupational therapists, the seminars provide valuable insight which can be used in everyday practice. As the content is part of the OT Show educational programme, attendance will count to CPD hours.

The Etac R82 educational sessions available at the OT Show will include seminar stream 1, ‘Single Handed Care Solutions for the positioning of immobile patients.’

This session will be led by Physiotherapist and Etac Education Manager for Transfer Ole Lindahl Thy and is a practical demonstration focusing on how to protect the wellbeing of the carer and reduce the impact of regular handling of the service user ie to assist with pressure injury prevention. It runs on the 21st of November at 12:00 and on the 22nd of November at 11:00.

Etac’s second seminar stream, ‘How, when and why use Air Cell Cushions?,’ will take place on the 21st of November at 15:00 and on the 22nd of November at 12:00. It is led by Joanne McConnell, Occupational Therapist and Clinical Manager for Mobility & Pressure Care at Etac R82.

The seminar is a short practical guide to choosing Air Cell Cushions with clinical reasoning supporting cushion selection. Hands on training will be available on the selection of different Air Cell cushions within the Star range.

‘Sit to Stand Solutions – Advantages and Challenges’ is Etac R82’s third seminar stream which runs on the 21st of November at 13:00 and on the 22nd of November at 15:00. It is led by Kristin Tornkvist, International Product Manager for Transfer at Etac and offers a quick guide to choosing the appropriate standing equipment to help with early mobilisation of a service user.

Etac R82’s final seminar stream, ‘Overhead Hoisting Solutions,’ will take place on the 21st of November at 11:00 and on the 22nd of November at 14:00 and is led by Colin Williams, Category Sales Manager for Overhead Hoists at Etac R82.

The seminar presents answers to the following questions: How to assess for the right overhead hoist? What type of Overhead Hoist to use and when? What makes hoisting safe, supportive and effective?

All seminars will take place on Etac R82’s stand – C70 – at the OT Show, which is held at the NEC in Birmingham from the 21st to the 22nd of November.

Alongside the CPD-accredited seminars, Etac R82 will also be unveiling new and enhanced products at the exhibition. Showcasing key products from its Etac, R82, Molift, Immedia and Star Cushions brands, Etac R82 therapists and product specialists will also be illustrating the latest techniques for moving, positioning and supporting people.
