Etac R82 boosts bathing offering with next generation of shower commode chairs
Etac R82 has launched the new Swift Mobil-2 shower commode chair range, with a number of redesigned features and details building on the company’s original popular design.
A supplier of equipment to statutory and private sector community equipment providers, Etac R82’s portfolio supports mobility, care and independence for end-users and facilitate safer moving and handling for carers.
According to the company, the durability of its Swift Mobil-2 shower commode chair, which comes with a five-year warranty and seven-year life expectancy, aims to alleviate the strained budgets of healthcare providers, promising improved re-issuing and reduced servicing required.
Building on the credentials of its predecessor, the new Etac Swift Mobil 2 is a flexible, attendant-controlled chair range which encompasses four variations: Swift Mobil-2, Swift Mobil-2 XL, Swift Mobil 24”-2 and Swift Mobil Tilt-2.
The XL provides an extra 6cm of width for larger users whilst the Tilt-2 provides tilt-in-space functionality, ranging between +5-degree to -35-degree controlled repositioning.
The self-propel Swift Mobil 24”-2 enables seamless side transfers, while the pelvis and overall postural positioning have been optimised. In addition, bespoke specification can be enhanced with a range of optional accessories, ranging from specialist seat pads to lateral supports
Jon Preater, Etac R82 Managing Director comments: “2019 continues to be a significant year for the healthcare industry as we once again introduce a true innovation.
“The Swift Mobil-2 represents the very latest thinking in assistive equipment that purely centres on client and carer needs. We believe this next generation shower commode chair represents a step-change in assisted toileting and bathing and will elevate care to the next level.”
The range includes unique seat design and details for carers to provide care easier, with a larger rear opening enabling more access for hygiene tasks whilst the seat surface improves grip, comfort and efficient cleaning.
Additionally, minimal, precision-fitted components help with hygiene control and the bathing range’s redesigned and quick-drying mesh backrest is adjustable to suit varying postures, whilst its enveloping flexibility provides additional support.
Adaptability to individual user needs is a key strength of the new Swift Mobil-2 highlights Etac R82, with 45-60cm seat height range, laterally adjustable fold-up armrests and a wider XL back option. With its SWL of 160kg, the new shower chair commode range is also suitable for the majority of semi-ambulant users.
In addition, the new chair range boasts a number of redesigned features, including sculpted footrests and multi-adjustable headrest.https://thiis.co.uk/etac-r82-boosts-bathing-offering-with-next-generation-of-shower-commode-chairs/https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Etac-Swift-Mobil-Tilt-2.jpg?fit=1000%2C668&ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/Etac-Swift-Mobil-Tilt-2.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1NewsroomSupplier Newsattendant-controlled,bathing,care homes, community equipment, equipment,Etac R82,footrests,independent living, shower commode chair,Swift Mobil-2Etac R82 has launched the new Swift Mobil-2 shower commode chair range, with a number of redesigned features and details building on the company's original popular design.A supplier of equipment to statutory and private sector community equipment providers, Etac R82’s portfolio supports mobility, care and independence for end-users and...Calvin BarnettCalvin Barnettcalvin@thiis.co.ukAdministratorTHIIS Magazine
