Established UK ramp manufacturer Jetmarine enters administration
Well-known for its lightweight, fibreglass ramps, Cheshire-based manufacturer Jetmarine Ltd, trading as Access Made Easy, has gone into administration.
A specialist in modular glass-reinforced plastic access ramps for the home and outdoors, the company’s Access Made Easy brand will be familiar to many in the trade.
Providing access solutions for over 20 years, the UK manufacturer also had the ability to create bespoke ramping systems for more complex access problems.
Founded in 1985, the Stockport ramp specialist went into administration on the 26th March 2020, just a couple of days after the government introduced lockdown measures to curb the spread of coronavirus.
It comes as findings released on the 8th April from the second British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) Coronavirus Business Impact Tracker highlight the precarious situation many SMEs find themselves in regarding cash flow.
According to the results of the survey, just 1 per cent of respondents have successfully accessed the government’s Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme (CBILS) and only 7 per cent are receiving grants.
On the other hand, 57 per cent of firms stated having three months or less of cash in reserve, whilst 6 per cent said they had already run out of cash.
Commenting on the results, BCC Director General Dr Adam Marshall said: “Our latest data shows that many businesses face a cliff-edge scenario, either at the end of this month or over the course of the next quarter.”
Mike Dillon and Katy McAndrew of Leonard Curtis have been appointed as joint administrators of Jetmarine.
