Butterfly Ramp

UK mobility access manufacturer Enable Access has launched a “fast and easy-to-use” threshold bridge solution – with no user adjustment required – to help improve accessibility for those with limited mobility.

The Butterfly Ramp is a bridge ramp that automatically adjusts as it is placed to suit all threshold types, and features a low profile design with a shallow and safe gradient that will work with any mobility device.

Available in two sizes, the ramp will cover thresholds of up to six inches high. Its all-weather anti-slip surface folds inside when carrying for extra safety, and the ramp comes with integral comfort carrying handles.

Neil Smith, Key Account Manager at Enable Access told THIIS: “We’re so excited about this as a brand new product innovation because it is so easy, both to choose and to use, thus it really is everyone’s threshold bridge solution!

“It simply adjusts to bridge over all types of thresholds, even where the drop is different each side, without any setting up or adjustment needed from the user, and is suitable for almost any mobility device.”

Prices start from £359 for the midi size for thresholds up to four inches high and £438 for the large version for thresholds of up to six inches high. A video of the ramp in action can be viewed on the Enable Access website.

A UK manufacturer of mobility access and evacuation chairs, Enable Access is currently looking to engage occupational therapists and prescribers to attend its live demonstration training webinar on Thursday 15th April at 2.30pm.

The webinar is a one-hour live demonstration and training session on the latest RampCentre mobility access and wheelchair ramps and access solutions manufactured by Enable Access, and includes information on how to specify portable and modular mobility access ramps, with specific advice for local authority teams and prescribers.

Attendees will gain up-to-date knowledge and understanding of the latest RampCentre ramps and access solutions, gradients and lengths, overcoming uPVC and different threshold types, and common access challenges and solutions.

A certificate of attendance will be distributed afterwards together with an Access & Ramp Assessment Guide booklet.

The webinar will take place via the Zoom platform and registration to attend is required via its website.
