Electric Mobility uses Christmas giveaway to expand its social media presence and gain insightful feedback
In a bid to gain followers and increase interaction between customers on Facebook and Twitter, Electric Mobility ran a successful social media giveaway campaign, which saw its platforms grow by a combined total of 28 percent.
The giveaway, targeting consumers, ran for one month across Electric Mobility’s social media channels and saw engagement levels reach more than 20,000.
Customers were given the opportunity to win an Ambassador Riser Recliner by nominating someone in the comments with reasoning why they would benefit from winning the prize.
Rebecca Bateson, Marketing & Design Assistant at Electric Mobility, said: “Rather than running a simple ‘Click To Win Competition’ we wanted to hear from our community and ensure the quality prize went to someone who would benefit the most, so our competition involved a nomination twist.
“We had more than 300 comments & growth of 62% on Facebook alone where followers celebrated their loved ones and gave them the opportunity to win this great prize.”
As the nominations came through on Facebook and Twitter, Electric Mobility remarked that it was clear to see the growing necessity for mobility products, with comments saying how beneficial a win would be for a loved one.
The winner, Jodi Plant, and her mother-in-law Susan were both extremely happy to have their Ambassador personally delivered by Electric Mobility Area Dealer Managers David Barnes and Steve Trotter in time for Christmas.
Jodi expressed her excitement about winning: “I never expected to even be close to winning this great competition! My Mother in law always wanted a Riser Recliner but couldn’t afford one, so I was very shocked to win this and shed tears as it is amazing to be a winner for both me and my Mother in Law.”
Susan also explained how her life has been changed by the prize: “The Ambassador will help me with my hip, back and posture, it’s a comfortable and a very easy to use chair and thanks to my Daughter in Law & the Electric Mobility Team I can be comfortable day in day out!”
Emphasising the importance of its social media pages, Electric Mobility also says that the feedback it obtained from its giveaway gives its dealers the chance to capitalise on the interest generated.
