Electric Mobility launches new mobility scooters with “state-of-the-art’ batteries at Naidex
Mobility equipment distributor Electric Mobility enjoyed a successful launch of its latest mobility scooters with “state-of-the-art” battery technology at Naidex, taking place at Birmingham’s NEC from 22-23 March 2023.
Products on show included the Rascal VelumiLi, a lightweight 28.8kg aluminium boot scooter with a front section weighing just 10.2 kg and advantage of a two-year warranty on both the battery and the scooter.
This scooter incorporates the British-made “state-of-the-art” lithium ferro-phosphate battery technology which is warranted for a design life of over 1,000 cycles, providing an increased efficiency and performance to stand up to everyday life.
Elaine Leighton, Head of Brand & Charity Partnerships at Electric Mobility, was thrilled with the response to the products from visitors at Naidex, commenting exclusively to THIIS: “It has been an extremely successful launch, with great interest shown by consumers and our approved network of dealers.
“They have been amazed at the information we have given them to do with the lithium ferro-phosphate battery which we have shown on the VelumiLi, our new 4mph transportable scooter.
“Plus we’re also coming soon with a launch of the VelumiLi DX, which is an upgraded version of the product which offers the addition advantages of a 25Ah LifePO4 battery, increasing the range upto 26 miles, 20.4 stone user weight, delta tiller, USB charging port and all-round suspension.”
Due to the success of the lithium ferro-phosphate battery Electric Mobility have incorporated it into other products in the Rascal range, including the newly launched Veo Sport LiFe which offers a range of up to 14.4 miles, and will also have a 12.4Ah lithium ferro-phosphate battery, weighing just 4.7kg which is airline compliant.
Elaine finishes: “Consumers have now got a better understanding of the differences there are within the lithium range. Not all lithium batteries are the same.”
Last year, Electric Mobility announced that it had started to create engaging and educational videos to highlight the main features of its latest products to help support its network of dealers.
