eFOLDi launches portable electronic lifting platform for customers with limited mobility
Portable mobility specialist eFOLDi has launched the eFOLDi Lifter, a portable electronic lifting platform, designed to support eFOLDi customers who find it difficult to load a foldable mobility scooter into a car boot.
Powered using the eFOLDi scooter’s battery and operated via a handset controller, it’s a practical add-on for anyone who wants extra assistance at the point of loading, particularly where lifting, grip strength, or awkward angles are a challenge.
Supplied with a protective blanket to help prevent scuffs to the vehicle during use, the Lifter is compatible with the brand’s Lite, Explorer, and Compass models.
To use it, the operator simply needs to set the unit on level ground behind the vehicle, connect it to the scooter battery, lift to the required height with the handset, then carefully roll the scooter into the boot before disconnecting and storing the platform away.

With the eFOLDi Lifter, the brand says that it has taken that commitment one step further, by removing one of the most common ‘last hurdles’ of ownership, supporting smoother, more confident everyday journeys.
eFOLDi recently announced that it closed 2025 with a record year, delivering strong double digit year-on-year growth and finishing ahead of internal targets.
