eFOLDi announces package of new upgrades for its best-selling folding mobility scooter
Portable mobility specialist eFOLDi has introduced a host of important product enhancements for the Lite, its best-selling folding scooter.
The new upgrades are designed to offer end-users improved levels of performance, especially with regards to ease of use, portability, and user safety. The latest round of product updates from eFOLDi were guided by invaluable insights collected from both end-users and dealer partners.
With product weight being one of the primary considerations for purchasers, particularly, in terms of ease of transportation and storage, eFOLDi states that the upgraded Lite model now benefits from being even lighter – at just 14kg, excluding battery.
By reducing the overall weight by one kilogram, it means the Lite is now one of the lightest folding scooters available, the firm comments. Being more lightweight, as well as manoeuvrable, makes the Lite a more attractive solution for end-users, especially those that are keen travellers or those that commute regularly using public transport.
To improve user safety, eFOLDi has also introduced a state-of-the-art intelligent safety system that enhances stability when turning or manoeuvring across more challenging terrain. The innovative safety system incorporates an automated variable speed control device to ensure end-users remain safe and secure, regardless of the obstacles they encounter along their journey.
The newly upgraded Lite model also incorporates several innovative features to enhance ease of use, including a handy, on-board charging point located on the tiller, and the addition of low-maintenance, puncture-proof tyres.
To complement the latest enhancements, eFOLDi will also be introducing several optional extras to enable users to customise, or personalise their Lite scooter, according to their exact requirements.
Customers can now choose from a range of options, including the addition of factory-fitted armrests for greater comfort and support, coloured seat cushions and either solid or pneumatic tyres.
Sumi Wang, CEO at eFOLDi, commented: “Having launched the Lite scooter back in 2021, we have seen a phenomenal growth in unit sales, and it is now our best-selling product. It’s, therefore, crucially important we maintain a competitive edge as new products enter the portable scooter segment.
“We have always maintained a strong focus on R&D and innovation in the business, and we are continually looking for ways to improve our products. We are very excited to be announcing the launch of these important new enhancements and we’re confident they will offer end-uses improved levels of performance, in respect to portability, ease of use and safety.”
eFOLDi recently announced the appointment of Tyrone Matthews as Key Account Manager to bolster its UK dealer business.
