Easystep Stairlifts celebrates national Which? Trusted Trader of the Year award
Leicestershire-based retailer Easystep Stairlifts is celebrating a major milestone after being named Which? Trusted Trader of the Year 2026 at the prestigious Which? Awards.
Founded in 2002, family-run Easystep provides new, reconditioned and rental stairlifts across most of the UK. The company has won Which? Trader Trader of the Month four times, and has been endorsed since 2014.
The Which? Awards cover companies across 13 categories from banks to car manufacturers. They recognise brands that demonstrate dedication to providing outstanding products, value for money, and great customer service.
For the Easystep team, this award is particularly significant because of the size of the business. While the stairlift industry includes some of the biggest brand names in the sector, Easystep has continued to operate as a small, independent family business, building its reputation through personal service and a straightforward approach to helping people find the right stairlift for their circumstances.
Which? stated that Easystep Stairlifts was selected for the award due to the compassion it demonstrates to its customers. It has introduced a number of measures to make the buying journey as simple and supportive as possible.
These include a strict, non-negotiable pricing structure that protects against high-pressure sales tactics and external empathy training for their staff. The company has also developed an online self-survey allowing customers to obtain a quotation without the need for a salesman to visit their home.
The Which? judging panel said, ‘The business has created a genuinely supportive and transparent purchasing journey.”
Its commitment to consumer care is reflected in its outstanding customer reviews. On the Trusted Trader website, it has a perfect five stars across all three key areas (customer service, quality and value for money), based on 146 customer reviews.

Now in its 20th year, the Which? awards were held at the Science Museum in London. Competition for Trader of the Year was strong. Other brands shortlisted were Associated Stairlifts, Balhousie Glazing, Hadley & Ottaway and LCM Flat Roofing.
