Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare has completed the first deliveries in a substantial export contract, supplying electrically profiling beds into France.

Produced for Drive DeVilbiss’ French sister company, the beds are a new model of standard medical beds destined to be used within the French homecare market.

The four section electrically profiling beds with head and foot ends include a wood finish to match a more domestic setting, with a textured paint finish described as both practical and hardwearing.

Originally manufactured in Vietnam, Drive DeVilbiss has shifted production to Halifax in West Yorkshire, citing manufacturing efficiencies and product quality driving the decision.

Producing the new beds in Halifax has led to substantial investment in plant and people say the company and follows a growing trend in a number of suppliers moving production from the Far East back to the UK.
