Organisers of the popular Kidz to Adultz exhibitions, Disabled Living has launched a new online event, allowing exhibitors to virtually showcase their equipment and services for disabled children.

Kidz to Adultz exhibitions are designed for children and young adults with disabilities and additional needs, their parents, carers and the professionals who support them. The regional shows take place throughout the year, providing companies with the opportunity to showcase their latest paediatric ranges to children, their parents, and carers, as well as enabling healthcare professionals to attend free CPD seminars.

In June 2020, Disabled Living announced that its Kidz to Adultz events in South England and Scotland had been postponed until 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Originally supposed to take place in September 2020, Disabled Living said it decided to reschedule the shows in order to protect the vulnerable children and young adults visiting the exhibitions, as well as their families, carers, exhibitors and staff from COVID-19.

With the number of new coronavirus cases “rising rapidly” and the UK COVID-19 alert level subsequently moving to level 4, Disabled Living has now launched ‘Venue to Virtual’ in place of a physical exhibition.

Venue to Virtual is a new online platform offering visitors free virtual access to exhibitors, who will be showcasing their products, equipment and outlining details of their services to disabled children, their parents and carers.

Taking place from 9 – 13 November 2020, the virtual exhibition will see organisations showcase their paediatric ranges at various times throughout the week.

In addition, the online facility will showcase a number of live videos at various timeslots. Delegates will also be able to download their PDFs and brochures, with the additional bonus of an online chat facility where they can ask the experts questions and their advice on a wider range of products, issues and concerns.

The two Kidz to Adultz exhibitions join a raft of other events in the industry that have been pushed back in order to protect visitors, exhibitors and staff amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The growing list of events now includes Naidex, Motability’s The Big Event, multiple OTAC conferences and Warrington Disability Partnership’s Disability Awareness Day.

Similarly to Virtual to Venue, in August 2020, Warrington Disability Partnership announced it would launch a virtual show in October in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Determined to make the virtual show as close as possible to the live event, the charity has created a digitally rendered version of the marquees and stalls that Disability Awareness Day’s usual 20,000+ attendees are accustomed to.

Taking place on the 25 October, the online event will see visitors that visit the site be able to visit different sections that make up the event, where they can interact and communicate with exhibitors, make donations to their favourite charities, see performances, pick up information and much more.
