Dietz WheelAir integration

European power wheelchair manufacturer DIETZ Power has partnered with WheelAir to offer its mobility customers the option of airmesh backrests on its powered wheelchairs, giving the end user control over their temperature and microclimate, while improving their thermal comfort in the seat.

Through active airflow, the WheelAir system is designed to remove excess heat and moisture from the backs of wheelchair users and cool the end user’s core temperature.

DIETZ Power manufactures powered wheelchairs in a range of sizes, which can then be fitted with customised and bespoke items to ensure a perfect solution for the user.

The WheelAir system will be a SEGO backrest option for the SANGO Advanced and SANGO Slimline powered wheelchairs.

Darren Legg, Managing Director of DIETZ Rehab, the exclusive UK distributor for DIETZ Power, commented to THIIS: “We are very happy to be able to offer our customers this great integration of WheelAir into our SEGO backrest options on the SANGO Advanced and SANGO Slimline.

“It’s available in demo stock in the UK for reviews and assessments, so please get in touch to try it out.”

The SANGO Advanced with SEGO comfort was the first powered wheelchair developed by DIETZ Power. It is available as a rear-wheel drive (RWD), mid-wheel drive (MWD) or front-wheel drive (FWD), and can be made with a seating height of 39cm.

Available as a mid-wheel drive, the SANGO Slimline has the same components as the SANGO Advanced and features an ultra compact chassis, with a total width 53cm.
