DHCareDHCare, a global medical device company, has been formed from the merger of Invacare and DHG (Direct Healthcare Group) businesses across EMEA and APAC, following their acquisition by Rhône Group.

DHCare states that its mission is to support efforts to ‘move health forward’ and will deliver innovative and leading solutions for individuals whose lives are impacted by reduced movement.

Known for clinical depth, technical innovation and solutions that work in the real world, it will serve healthcare providers, retailers and end users in ‘Moving health forward. Together.‘, with a portfolio that supports recovery, independence and everyday living, in home and healthcare environments.

A spokesperson for DHCare stated: “This is a very exciting time and enables us to expand and improve our expertise and product offering across mobility and care management, as well as explore new opportunities in our rentals service.”

From July 2026, DHCare will be gradually introduced across regions, over the next 12-18 months

DHCare recently signed a definitive agreement to carve out and acquire the Human Mobility division of Ottobock, a globally recognised provider of complex power  wheelchairs and specialist mobility solutions.

The planned acquisition will represent DHCare’s first under its new ownership structure with Rhône, a global  private equity firm, and marks a defining step in building a truly comprehensive  Mobility platform that can serve all end users, clinicians, dealer partners, and  healthcare systems across Europe.
