Deltron Lifts acquires Dolphin Lifts Midlands after stairlift retailer falls into administration
Birmingham-based Deltron Lifts has acquired Dolphin Lifts Midlands after the stairlift retailer went into administration.
Dolphin Lifts Midlands fell into administration on 31 August 2023 with Benjamin Neil Jones and Rajnesh Mittal of FRP Advisory appointed as Joint Administrators on the same date.
In a statement FRP Advisory confirmed to THIIS that a sale of the Dolphin Lifts Midlands business and certain assets was then completed to Deltron Lifts.
For over 30 years Tipton-based Dolphin Lifts Midlands covered a large swathe of the West Midlands, specialising in the supply, installation, repair and maintenance of a wide range of access solutions to private customers and local authorities.
Family-run, the Managing Director Lee Farrington of Dolphin Lifts Midlands took over the running of the company from his father who purchased the business in 2007. To support its growth, the business had moved into a spacious new facility featuring new offices, showroom and a warehouse in late autumn 2019.
Deltron Lifts installs, maintains and services all types of stairlifts and access lifts, as well as goods lifts, passenger lifts and escalators. Its lifts services cover Central England, London and the South Coast. Earlier this year, the firm stated that it had acquired specialist mobility aids retailer Snowdrop Independent Living.
