Dash Rehab to unveil new power add-on at Kidz to Adultz North this December
Mobility equipment supplier Dash Rehab will be unveiling the new Todo Drive Pro on stand A3 at Kidz to Adultz North on 3 December at the Exhibition Centre in Liverpool.
Dash Rehab is introducing the latest model to the UK market as the exclusive distributor of the Todo assisted power drive range.
Commenting on the launch, General Manager of Dash Rehab, Brent McIvor said: “Kidz to Adultz North is renowned for exploring new features and exploring innovative assistive technology, and this makes it the perfect place to launch the Todo Drive Pro.
“The Pro version offers so much more than the standard Todo Drive – a device that always proves popular at the Kidz to Adultz events, so we’re excited to see how visitors respond to this upgrade. It will appeal to many manual wheelchair users and is ideal for those wanting to try a powerchair maybe for the first time, or for those who only need power assist on occasion.”
Alongside the new enhanced assisted power drive, Stand A3 will also feature the Dash Carbon Pro powerchair.
The Dash Rehab team will be on-hand throughout the day from 9.30am to 4pm to answer questions, offer demonstrations and advise on product selection and mobility solutions to suit individual requirements.
Todo Drive Pro is an enhanced power assist device that converts a manual wheelchair into a powered wheelchair so users can be sure of getting the right chair for their needs, with added power. The drive can be added to most of the self-propelled wheelchairs on the market without modifying the frame.
The device is available in a kit comprising two motors, a joystick, a main body, and a battery. Dash Rehab says the device is ultra-lightweight, weighing 5kg, and is highly portable. It says the motor is powerful ensuring a smooth and quiet drive. The range is around 10km. The device is equipped with automatic brake and self-diagnosis system.
Once fitted, a chair can easily be converted from a manual to electric wheelchair with the pull or push of a lever. To use the power add-on, users can push the levers and the chair can be controlled with the joystick. For manual handling, users simply push the rims of the wheelchair as usual.
There’s a wide variety of settings and functions, including configuration and control using the Todo Drive app on a smartphone. The maximum speed and joystick sensitivity can be set, and users are provided with a quick start guide and a user manual.
In recent news, Dash Rehab has announced that it had offered mobility retailers Black Friday offers on its product line.
