Naidex Junior new web page on Naidex website for 2020

At the 46th Naidex taking place in 2020, event organiser Prysm is expanding the scope of the disability show with the launch of Naidex Junior, hosting a brand-new zone exclusively aimed at children with disabilities.

One of the longest-running events in the disability and mobility industry, Naidex was acquired from the i2i Group by the Prysm Group in 2016.

Since acquiring the event, Prysm has introduced a number of new features, including its Moving & Handling Lab and Panel Debates, with 2020 marking the introduction of its new Junior Zone and Wellbeing Zone.

According to the organisers, the new zone will feature a range of solutions aiming to enable children to live “happy childhood, chase their dreams, fulfil their potential, and actively participate in society” and will include wearables, behavioural equipment, inclusive education tools, as well as sensory, sleeping, feeding aids.

In the paediatrics sector, the dominant exhibition in the UK has long been the Kidz Exhibitions, which launched in 2001 and now spans five free shows held in the North, South, Midlands, Scotland and West and Wales.

Organised by charity Disabled Living, the show expanded its reach in 2015 following the implementation of the Children & Families Act 2014, rebranding from Kidz to Kidz-to-Adultz in order to incorporate young adults up to 25 years with disabilities and additional needs.

The 46th Naidex will be held at the NEC, Birmingham on the 17th and 18th March, 2020.
