Closomat launches webinars for OTs on working with bariatric patients
Assisted bathing specialist Closomat has launched two new CPD-certified webinars for occupational therapists (OTs) about working with bariatric patients.
The launch of the webinars follows numerous companies in the mobility and independent sectors that have looked to engage healthcare professionals through educational webinars.
This highlights the importance of companies raising awareness of their products and services to healthcare professionals who work alongside elderly and disabled people.
Yorkshire Care Equipment is hosting a webinar this Thursday for OTs and physiotherapists on falls recovery and prevention. During this session, the company will be revealing a brand-new and “revolutionary” falls assistance device.
In addition, Medstrom is hosting a free webinar in June about how the healthcare industry can deliver dignified care to plus-size patients. The session will explain the challenges faced by hospitals, carers, and patients.
Founded in 1962, Closomat sells a range of wash & dry toilets, toilet lifts, ceiling track hoists, changing benches, shower chairs, paediatric and bariatric support solutions, and shower seats.
Now, the company has launched two new webinars about specialist bathroom design to ensure independence and dignity for bariatric people.
OTs will gain an overview of planning a home environment for bariatric people (with focus on the bathroom) as well as evaluate the importance of assessment and activity analysis. Delegates will also review the role of the occupational therapist in aspects of dignity and choice.
‘Working with plus size (bariatric) people: Design, independence and dignity’ will take place twice on 20th April 2021. The first session will run live at 11am and the second webinar will re-run via recording at 6pm.

Last year, Hillrom (Liko) and Closomat jointly launched a dedicated Changing Places website to educate visitors about the importance of installing the facilities in public places and to inform them about building regulations and compliance.https://thiis.co.uk/closomat-launches-webinars-for-ots-on-working-with-bariatric-patients/https://i2.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/e-learning-zoom-webinar.jpg?fit=900%2C671&ssl=1https://i2.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/e-learning-zoom-webinar.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Events & ExhibitionsNewsroomSupplier NewsTrade NewsAssisted bathing, bariatric care, bariatric patients,Closomat,Closomat webinar,CPD,CPD webinar,OT webinar,OT's,specialist bathroomAssisted bathing specialist Closomat has launched two new CPD-certified webinars for occupational therapists (OTs) about working with bariatric patients.
