Closomat remote assessments imageWith the need for home adaptations remaining unwavering during the COVID-19 pandemic, wash & dry toilet manufacturer Closomat is extending its remote assessment capabilities to support adaptation teams and occupational therapists to carry out housing adaptation assessments.

Designed to complement its existing on-site/in-home assessments for housing adaptations, which are now up and running again, the remote service sees Closomat product specialists use video conferencing platforms to help personalise the assessment experience for end-users.

The accessible bathing specialist is also carrying out remote assessments to ensure customers can still have their homes adapted during the coronavirus crisis while keeping them and Closomat employees safe by reducing face-to-face contact.

This expansion comes as Closomat reopens its Manchester factory and extends its staffing levels to handle and process queries, orders and deliveries.

Stephen Edwards, Head of Marketing at Closomat, commented: “The need to protect the health & lives of people we have contact with as part of our working life- co-workers, specifier and end-users- is paramount.

“We trialled remote assessments as soon as Lockdown began. They have been so successful we are now rolling out the offering and increasing the number of Product Specialists available to help all involved in the adaptation assessment process.”

Additionally, Closomat is backing its remote assessment process with its ‘no quibble’ guarantee.

“It’s impossible to always get things right, especially when we are unable to physically visit and assess at first hand,” Stephen added. “The guarantee gives OTs and officers the confidence that we will stand by our choices and make amends free of charge if a user’s needs are not met by something we have advised.”

Closomat’s remote assessment service is accessible via the company’s communication channels:
