Clearwell Mobility becomes exclusive dealer of Segway-inspired powerchair in the South East
Clearwell Mobility, the largest Motability accredited dealer in the South East, has become the South East’s exclusive supplier of the NINO, a unique powerchair based on gyroscopic technology, combining a Segway with a wheelchair.
Designed and manufactured in France, the NINO is controlled via a user’s weight distribution, enabling users to go forwards and backwards by moving their torso. With two central wheels, users can turn sideways and rotate 360 degrees on the spot using the device’s handlebar, with separate motors turning each wheel independently.
At less than half the length of a traditional wheelchair, it enables users even more freedom to move around, without the frustration of a traditional chair says the company.
Additionally, the chair has the ability to connect to a smartphone to monitor and control the powerchair.

Established nearly 15 years ago by husband and wife team Duncan and Natasha Gillettm, Clearwell has grown from a single shop in Woodingdean, Brighton to a network of 12 shops across the South East, employing 80 people and boasting an annual turnover of £5.3m.
The mobility retailer has recently taken delivery of the powerchair, which is now available across the Clearwell Mobility retail network, and has confirmed that its engineers have been trained at the NINO Robotics Headquarters in Montpellier, France.
In addition, the South East dealer is offering finance and trade in options to customers.
