Stuart Mobility merchandising

Having been chosen as one of the UK’s top 100 small businesses by Small Business Saturday, Stuart Mobility has marked the occasion with the launch of a professional promotional video and unique merchandising pack.

Founded in 2015 by husband and wife team Stuart and Justina Nurse, the Burton upon Trent-based seating specialist sells a variety of British-made high-quality seating products, from rise and recliners to bespoke healthcare chairs, to private customers, nursing and care homes, hospices and the NHS.

The company was recently selected as one of 100 select small businesses as part of Small Business Saturday’s #SmallBiz100 campaign, which recognises and celebrates 100 leading small businesses across the UK who help make up the estimated £812million spent in small businesses annually.

Aiming to raise the profile of the selected 100 companies, each day, a different shortlisted small business sees their company promoted across Small Business Saturday’s various channels over the lead up to Small Business Saturday taking place on the 7th December.

The 5th October marked Stuart Mobility’s dedicated day, with the company unveiling a promotional film and new merchandising packs to coincide with the occasion.

Sharing the new video across its social media channels, the professionally produced film titled ‘Customer Journey’ highlights the Stuart Mobility sales process, from the initial meeting and assessment to delivery, setup and demonstration.

Speaking with Justina at the beginning of the year, she told THIIS that the video was an opportunity to increase the transparency of buying a specialist chair product to customers who may not have experience purchasing these types of products before, as well as highlighting the company’s dedication to customer service.

“We want to highlight to customers that Stuart Mobility sells chairs but I think it is equally as important to sell us as a company and those values which are important to us,” she explained.

In addition to the new film, the company has created new merchandising packs boasting thermal flasks, literature and a high-quality bag which will be distributed to care homes, residential and nursing homes in its local region over the coming months.

Discussing being shortlisted as a #SmallBiz100 company, Justina said: “While we’re based in the Derby/Burton area, our business is nationwide – we’ve delivered from north to south as far as Perth and St Ives, and from Belfast in the west to Norwich in the east – and an award like this really helps to put us on the map!

“It’s such a privilege to be selected as one of the top 100 small businesses in the UK; we work hard and keep our standards high and, while our customers tell us frequently that they’re pleased with what we do, this confirms from a business perspective that we’re doing things right!

“Many retailers are struggling at the moment so it’s great to earn some recognition and have a spotlight put on our business.”
