Moving and handling manufacturer Care & Independence is celebrating after being shortlisted as finalists in three upcoming awards.
Care & Independence was one of just three finalists nominated as Manufacturer of the Year 2024 in the prestigious industry-specific British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA) annual awards.
Ian Jones, Managing Director of Care & Independence, commented: “To be shortlisted for Manufacturer of the Year from amongst competitors and fellow industry peers is a real honour.
“To be acknowledged by our industry body for all that we do as a manufacturer is gratifying. We invest heavily in production and new product development, and across the business we continually seek methods and processes to improve both operational performance and best business practices across multiple disciplines.
“Our ultimate goal is to improve the lives of one million people per year by 2031, which we are well on the way to achieving. We will continue to strive for excellence in all that we do and look for more ways in which we can work for the benefit of the greater good.”
Fast forward 24 hours and Care & Independence were rejoicing again with the confirmation of double finalist status in ‘Large Business’ and ‘Business Person of the Year’ categories in the Cherwell Business Awards within Oxfordshire.
Established in 2011, the annual Cherwell Business Awards, recognise and celebrate excellence and success of local businesses and people.
James Bennett, Sales & Marketing Director of Care & Independence, commented: “From a personal perspective it is humbling to have been nominated and subsequently shortlisted as Business Person of the Year.
“As company we are thrilled at being recognised for the contribution we make to the local community – being a finalist in the Large Business category is reflective of the collective skill, effort and dedication of our staff over years.
“Together we provide for some of the most vulnerable people in society, with the products we manufacture and supply allowing greater comfort and independence. We not only improve lives, we have helped radically transform lives at times too.”
Award ceremonies occur on 13th September and 29th November respectively for the Cherwell Business Awards and BHTA Awards.
