Care & Independence invites OTs to free moving and handling CPD training in Kent
Safe patient moving and handling specialists Care & Independence invites local occupational therapists (OTs) to join its free training event.
The course content delivered over a three and a half hour period covers sizing-related issues, sling selection, hoist considerations and fitting techniques
By attending, OTs will understand the risk factors associated with fitting techniques in moving and handling.
Care & Independence Training Event South will take place on Tuesday 5th July 2022, at the Doubletree by Hilton at Dartford Bridge, Kent, between 9.30am -1pm.
Steve Watson, National Sales Assessment Manager with over 25 years real-world experience within the industry of solving complex problems, and an enviable knowledge of sling equipment, will deliver the event joined by regular circuit presenter and Moving & Handling Specialist Melanie Furness.
Steve commented: “This is a great opportunity to get hands-on practical training alongside theory for any OT or professional responsible for a disabled, elderly or infirm person requiring sling-based care assistance.
A practical session with course handouts will be provided to all delegates.
