The Business Disability Forum aim to create a “disability-smart world”.

The Business Disability Forum is holding a webinar later this month, which could prove useful for mobility businesses looking to run accessible and inclusive online events.

During the webinar, Adam Casey, Senior Events Coordinator at Business Disability Forum, is to be interviewed by Diane Lightfoot, the organisation’s CEO.

Participants will have the opportunity to ask Adam questions about how to create their own events.

Topics of discussion will include how to adapt traditional in-person events to inclusive and accessible virtual events; how to ensure virtual events remain inclusive; and how smaller-scale online events differ from larger-scale online events.

The webinar will explore some of the challenges with online and hybrid events, and look at the positives of running events online. It will also look at what the future holds for accessible business events and offer top tips for running this type of events.

The Zoom webinar on 28th January follows the success of the Business Disability Forum’s first business disability virtual conference, Disability today and tomorrow: Living in a post-pandemic world, which took place in October 2020.

The aim of the not-for-profit organisation is to create a “disability-smart world” by linking businesses, disabled people, and government. Its 300-plus members employ around 20 per cent of the UK workforce and an estimated eight million people worldwide.

The Zoom webinar will take place on Thursday 28 January from 10am to 11am.  Business owners interested in attending must register their place in advance. Dial-in details will be included within confirmation emails confirming attendance.
