Bush Healthcare opens new mobility store in Wales with a focus on an accessible location
Mobility retailer Bush Healthcare has opened a new store in Cross Hands, Carmarthenshire, providing a more accessible and convenient location for its customers.
The company opened the Cross Hands shop after finding that some of its customers were struggling to get to some of its other retail outlets.
Keri Jenkins, Area Manager at Bush Healthcare, commented: “Most of our stores are further East which means customers in the more rural areas of the West struggle to access our store and services.
“Customers have said that a store in the Cross Hands area has been needed for a long time.
“The location at Cross Hands Business Park was perfect for its size and accessibility from the dual carriageway and M4 motorway.”
Alongside Bush Healthcare’s 13 stores in Wales and two in England, the retailer also offers a stairlift, hoist, through-floor-lift, and easy access bathroom fitting service. The new store will allow the company to showcase these services, without customers having to travel long distances.
Keri added: “A large store such as this one allows us to provide a wide variety of chairs, scooter, beds and wheelchairs as well as all of the smaller daily living aids under one roof so that our customers are able to purchase everything they need in one visit.”
The Cross Hands Business Park also provides a range of other retail outlets, which Bush Healthcare says means that people can conveniently do all of their shopping in the area alongside visiting its store.
Having recently opened a store in Hereford, England, the retailer is looking to open its next store before Christmas in the Yate Shopping Centre in Bristol. Keri said that Bush Healthcare is always looking for new locations for store openings where people within that area require mobility products and services.
In addition to Bush Healthcare’s retail expansion, Peter Williams has also recently been appointed into the role of Business Manager.
Peter’s principal responsibility will be to oversee the day-to-day operations of the teams that install, service and maintain stairlifts, track hoists, vertical/platform lifts as well as bathroom adaptations.
Founder of the company Martin Bush said: “Having worked in several senior roles in both the public and private sector for almost 40 years, primarily in operations management, Peter’s knowledge and experience will be invaluable in many aspects of the business and he has already made a positive impact during his time with us.”
On joining the new role, Peter commented: “Having started working in this sector in the last few years, the opportunity to join such an established and well-respected company within the industry as Bush Healthcare, especially at a time of further expansion, was one that I could not overlook.
“My aspiration is to make Bush Healthcare the first choice for those living in South / West Wales and West England who require mobility equipment and associated services.”
