Mobility and Lifestyle Nuneaton

Mobility retailer Mobility and Lifestyle is getting ready to open a new mega store in a landmark building in the town of Nuneaton in Warwickshire this September.

The move has come at the right time for the retailer, which has seven other outlets in the Midlands, as its premises on Abbey Road in the town is facing demolition to pave way for a new development.

Mobility and Lifestyle’s directors, Jason Wittering and Richard Smith, said that while they had never planned to move from their store they decided that this would offer them an opportunity to expand.

Fortunately, a former Blockbuster Video store on Regent Street came on the market which enabled them to do just that – boasting a huge 4,000 square metres of space, with plenty of free parking in front.

The extra space in the new mobility mega store will enable Mobility and Lifestyle to showcase more of its goods – from mobility scooters to riser recliners, said Co-Director Richard Smith.

Richard said: “Moving here is such a big opportunity for us – it was like it was meant to be.”

“Within the store we are going to be able offer the customers much more choice and much more value.”

“We are going to be the first mobility store in the country to have an on-site mobility workshop.”

The store has now been stripped back with contractors now starting work on re-branding the store, with plans to open in early September.

In homage to its past the new owners plan to call the “landmark building” Blockbuster House in tribute.
