Benmor Medical on the lookout for worldwide distributors this November as bariatric market expands
Independent bariatric equipment supplier Benmor Medical will be attending the Medica Trade Fair in search of distributors to help the UK manufacturer expand its export operations.
Claiming to be the only UK company to develop, manufacture and distribute their own products for the bariatric market, Benmor will be attending the Dusseldorf event in November to showcase its range of specialist beds to tens of thousands of national and international decisionmakers across the healthcare sector.
With more than 123,000 visitors at the Medica 2018, Benmor Medical says it will now bring its expertise and innovation in larger patient equipment to attendees this year.
“All of our products have been developed with the patient experience at the centre of design,” commented Peter Staddon, Managing Director of Benmor Medical.
“Bringing together patients as ‘experts by experience’ alongside in-house and external clinical expertise and CPD certified courses, we have co-productively developed sector-leading products which have quality, safety, comfort, and usability at their core”.
With the number of obese adults predicted to increase by an estimated 11 million in the UK by 2030 (NICE, 2014), the bariatric market is one that is expected to expand with the increasing demographic.
Aiming to capitalise on this growing market, Benmor Medical will present its Aurum+ Bariatric Bed and its Deprimo Floor Level Bed in hall 14 at the popular healthcare trade event.
Having undergone extensive design and development, the Aurum+ is fully compliant with BS EN60601-2-52 EU compliance standards and Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. Powered by strong electric actuators, the bed can support patients up to 440kg (69st), with a safe working load of 490kg (77st).
The four-section, fully profiling mattress platform also has a width adjustment feature, allowing the bed to be transported as a standard-sized bed at 915mm (36 inches) while accommodating wider patients by extending the mattress platform to 1120mm (48 inches).
According to the company, the bed meets all the regular criteria of an acute bariatric bed, including stowable safety rails which can be retracted and stowed within the bed frame to provide greater ease when transferring a patient and easier access for a nurse to treat a patient.
In addition, Benmor will exhibit its Deprimo model, a bed aimed at tackling patient falls, a problem which costs the NHS approximately £15 million annually.
The Deprimo Foor Level Bed has a 120mm (4.7 inches) ultra-low height, significantly reducing the risk of injury to vulnerable patients who are prone to falling out of bed and reducing the costs of in-hospital injuries.
Helping cut down the requirement for constant supervision, the company states the Deprimo increases patient safety by allowing nursing staff to leave patients at a safe height unsupervised, whilst maintaining patient dignity.
Taking place over four days from 18th – 21st November, the company will be exhibiting at Medica in Hall 14, stand B14.https://thiis.co.uk/benmor-medical-on-the-lookout-for-worldwide-distributors-this-november-as-bariatric-market-expands/https://i0.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/benmor-medical-patient-bed-wheelchair.jpg?fit=900%2C600&ssl=1https://i0.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/benmor-medical-patient-bed-wheelchair.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Events & ExhibitionsNewsroomSupplier NewsAurum+,bariatric, beds,Benmor Medical,Deprimo Floor Level Bed,distributors, dusseldorf, equipment, export,Medica,NICEIndependent bariatric equipment supplier Benmor Medical will be attending the Medica Trade Fair in search of distributors to help the UK manufacturer expand its export operations.Claiming to be the only UK company to develop, manufacture and distribute their own products for the bariatric market, Benmor will be attending the...Calvin BarnettCalvin Barnettcalvin@thiis.co.ukAdministratorTHIIS Magazine
