Baffin Technology celebrates successful launch of rehabilitation blocks at Kidz to Adultz event
Mobility equipment supplier Baffin Technology used last week’s Kidz to Adultz event in Coventry to launch its latest product – Moovie – a unique set of development and rehabilitation blocks for children with varying degrees of autism, gross motor disorders and various other conditions.
Marzena Komisarczuk, founder of Baffin Technology Systems, commented: “As with every new product launch you hope for a positive response, but I can honestly say the interest and feedback we received to the launch of Moovie at the show completely exceeded all our expectations.
“Throughout the day we had families and healthcare professionals asking about Moovie and I don’t think there was a single minute when a child wasn’t trying out one of the Moovie elements and clearly having fun at the same time. We certainly picked the right show to launch Moovie and myself and the team are looking forward to following up all the positive conversations we had during the day.”
The idea behind Moovie is to enable children to develop and enhance a wide range of skills whilst having fun so they don’t realise it is therapy by making it ‘Play Therapy’. The blocks fit together like a jigsaw and can be made into various shapes depending on the requirements of the child or children.
From a chimney or hoop through to a barrel, rocking horse, cave or tunnel, the range of shapes and activities that can be achieved with Moovie are extensive and all the time, the children are developing and enhancing a wide range of movements and skills including motor skills, hand-eye coordination, upper and lower body strength, awareness of gravity and general confidence.
In November 2022, the supplier had previously announced the launch of the Travel SIT, a transportable seating system designed to stabilise a child when in a variety of sitting and lying positions.
