Ardoo Caresafe puts its hoist business on the market as owners seek retirement
Ardoo Caresafe, creator and supplier of the Ardoo 140 Hoist and Stand Aid Combo, is up for sale after its owners announced their plans to retire.
Senan Boland, Managing Director of Ardoo Caresafe Limited said: “Existing manufacturing supply chain can easily be transferred to the new owners, thus ensuring continuity of supply.
“There is also vast potential to further develop sales of the product range both in the UK and overseas.”
The Dublin-based company claims that the Ardoo 140 is the lightest folding portable hoist on the market, safely transferring a person into a car, wheelchair, stairlift, or onto a toilet or bedside.
Patent and copyright-protected, the hoist’s small footprint enables ease-of-use in tight spaces as it can be easily folded and placed in the boot of a car without the need for tools, making it ideal for day trips and holidays.
Senan told THIIS that hundreds of Ardoo Caresafe hoists have been sold to satisfied customers over the years.
He added: “A unique feature of the Ardoo 140 is the Stand Aid Kit, which enables the hoist to be used as a stand aid.
“The compact combination unit takes up half the storage space and is half the cost of a standard hoist and a stand aid.”
Ardoo Caresafe’s manufacturing facility and showroom is based in Blanchardstown, Dublin, where hoists are fully tested to ensure they are CE-compliant before leaving its factory.
