Mobility equipment supplier Anglian Lifts is off to a fast start having established itself as a provider of stairlifts, platform lifts and other access and mobility equipment in East Anglia and an aim to ‘do it right’ for customers.

The Peterborough-based start-up is intending to set a new benchmark in addressing the variable levels of customer service and lack of transparency within the stairlift sector while providing a diverse range of solutions from the industry’s best brands.

Phillip Rice, Managing Director of Anglian Lifts, commented: “The stairlift market is opaque and customer service is highly variable. Customers deserve better. We will be successful by ‘doing it right’.

“This means doing it right for our customers first and foremost – providing the optimum solution at competitive prices together with great service; and doing it right for our stakeholders by providing growth opportunities to our employees and supporting the local community.”

An investor is supporting the start-up company and providing growth capital for future acquisitions.

Phillip is a veteran of the mobility solution industry, with Anglian Lifts benefiting from his decades of experience in the industry plus the expertise of the entire team from his previous company where he was managing director.

A board member of the British Healthcare Trades Association, Phillip has held several senior positions in the access and mobility market, including as managing director at Meditek Stairlifts, where he rose through the ranks from an apprentice engineer.

Phillip and his financial partner have said that they have ambitious plans to grow organically by hiring more engineers as well as via strategic acquisitions of similar and complementary businesses.

Anglian Lifts works with a network of trusted companies which have been hand-picked to bring complementary capabilities and enable the business to cover a wider region.

In addition, the firm recently introduced a partnership program specifically for companies without their own stairlift installation and servicing capabilities, such as mobility shops.

Phillip adds: “We partner with companies which share our ambition and want to do it right. As we grow, so will our partners.”

These companies, he says, will share in Anglian Lifts’ success by referring customers and receiving remuneration whilst maintaining the relationship of each customer.
