Allvida expands its medical technology solutions in Ireland with acquisition of MMS Medical
Assistive technology provider Allvida has announced that MMS Medical, one of Ireland’s leading suppliers of medical equipment, has joined the Allvida Group.
Founded by Gerard O’Herlihy in Cork in 1986 and now operating with teams in Dublin and Mayo, MMS Medical has been under the leadership of the second and third generation of the O’Herlihy family.
The firm’s long-standing commitment to mobility, rehabilitation, disabled access, and community care has built a reputation for expertise and reliability.
The MMS team recently met up with Fredrik Sidhagen and Gabriel Österdahl from Allvida to show them around its offices, along with Mats Sundstedt from its sister company FeAl.
Allvida is a Swedish company operating globally through its independent subsidiaries to provide MedTech solutions that play an essential role in improving people’s lives, whether in clinics, at home, or in the community.

In other news, private equity firm Rhône recently completed the acquisitions of Invacare Holdings (Invacare Europe and APAC) and Direct Healthcare Group (DHG).
