Allied Mobility promotes mobile servicing option for users of wheelchair accessible vehicles
With the new school year under way, wheelchair accessible vehicles supplier Allied Mobility is reminding WAV users to make sure their vehicle is serviced and ready for the busy months ahead with its HomeStay mobile servicing option.
The return to school can mean a packed schedule for families, with school runs, appointments, clubs and after-school activities all placing extra demands on the family vehicle.
For families who already own a wheelchair accessible vehicle (WAV), keeping it properly maintained can therefore be particularly important. Allied Mobility is encouraging customers to prepare for the new school term by checking whether their WAV is due a service.
Allied Mobility’s HomeStay mobile service is designed to make vehicle servicing more convenient by bringing a qualified automotive mechanic directly to the customer.
Rather than arranging a trip to a garage, eligible Allied Mobility customers can have their WAV serviced at a suitable location, including outside their home.
The service offers UK-wide coverage and is carried out by trained and certified mobile automotive mechanics. Allied Mobility also provides customers with a reminder when their WAV is due to be serviced, helping families keep on top of routine vehicle maintenance.
For eligible Motability Scheme customers, the HomeStay mobile service is provided free of charge.
For many families, a WAV plays a central role in everyday life, from travelling to school and work to attending appointments and taking part in social activities.
Scheduling routine servicing ahead of a particularly busy period can help ensure the vehicle is properly maintained while reducing the disruption that can come with taking a vehicle to a garage.
Allied Mobility says its HomeStay service has been developed to offer customers a more convenient way to arrange this essential maintenance, with the technician travelling to them instead.
The mobile servicing option is currently available for Peugeot, Citroën, Vauxhall and Ford WAVs on the Motability Scheme, excluding electric variants. For WAVs from other manufacturers, Allied Mobility can arrange servicing through a customer’s local garage.
