Allied Mobility partners with Glasgow Warriors to launch Accessibility Partnership
Wheelchair accessible vehicle supplier Allied Mobility has partnered with the Glasgow Warriors rugby union team for the next three seasons, as the club seeks to enhance accessibility services and inclusion at its events.
Allied Mobility, which is part of Glasgow-based manufacturer Allied Vehicles Group and employs more than 664 people in the city will be known as the Official Glasgow Warriors Accessibility Partner. Together with the club, Allied will help to increase the visibility of dedicated areas around the stadium for visitors with disabilities.
Glasgow Warriors supporters will see Allied Mobility signage clearly waymarking the vehicle drop-off zone for visitors with disabilities, as well as the wheelchair accessible entrances to the main stand and the dedicated seating areas for wheelchair users.
The Allied Mobility logo is also appearing on the club’s back of shorts for season 2023/24.
Not only will Allied Mobility be giving their backing to Glasgow Warriors, they will also begin sponsoring the Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby Club.

Over the summer we put a great deal of work into making sure our event days continue to evolve. To make sure they are better for everyone that comes through the gates at Scotstoun Stadium.
“Accessibility has been a big part of that focus. We are taking steps that make coming to Scotstoun as comfortable and easy as possible for those who may have disabilities or additional support needs.
“Allied Mobility is a perfect fit for this helping us develop this work, particularly with the close alignment of our visions for making a tangible difference to lives of the people we serve.
“Also, I’m delighted that they have chosen to work with Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby Club. This will help us foster closer relationships with another great rugby brand in the city.”
Founder and chairman of Allied Mobility and the Allied Vehicles Group, Gerry Facenna, commented: “We’ve been impressed to see the efforts being made by the Warriors, in partnership with Glasgow Life, to promote access for all at Scotstoun Stadium.
“This encouraged us to lend our support, by sponsoring one of Scotland’s two professional rugby teams. Equally important for us, however, is the opportunity to further participation in disability sport, by extending the partnership to include Glasgow Wheelchair Rugby, which now offers both adult and youth set-ups, from their base in Tollcross.
Allied Vehicles Group was established in 1993 and has grown consistently to become a leading supplier of adapted and special purpose vehicles.
Sales and support staff are located across the UK and Europe although the majority of the workforce is based at Allied’s main manufacturing plant and administrative headquarters, in Possilpark, Glasgow.
