All-terrain wheelchair firm Mountain Trike Company marks 10 years of growth and development
Cheshire-based off-road wheelchair specialist Mountain Trike Company has marked its 10-year anniversary this month.
Following four years of research, design, prototyping and testing, the Nantwich-based business delivered its first trikes in August 2011.
Ten years on the company reports that many of the users of its very first models still own and use the durable all-terrain trikes.
The brand offers a try-before-you-buy hire scheme, as well as face-to-face demonstrations. Various adaptations of Mountain Trike Company’s products are also adaptable to a customer’s needs.
Mountain Trike Company products are now sold through distributors in the US, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan and New Zealand, and it has added new distributors and experience centres in the UK to meet demand. Most recently, the firm reported that it has seen sales double over the last year as demand for outdoor equipment has grown.
Talking about his time over the last 10 years, managing director Tim Morgan said: “It has been such a rollercoaster of a journey for me, from seeing my design idea come to life, to some steep learning curves in the business world, which has helped mould and develop the company to what is is today.
“It is a dream come true and I am incredibly proud. Knowing that the first trikes are still going strong 10 years later goes to show how robust and good value the Mountain Trike is.
“The company has come a long way since these first production trikes – we’ve developed into a successful business with global sales, expanded the range and the team, refined the product further, enjoyed many amazing reviews and TV experiences and most of all enabled so many people of all abilities to enjoy the great outdoors.
“Without our customers the company wouldn’t be what it is – many of our first customers have become good friends and ambassadors for our products.
“I love nothing more than hearing and reading about our customer journeys and outdoor adventures. I’m excited about what the future holds for Mountain Trike and am looking forward to growing our product range and hope for more continued success!”
In a statement the company revealed that prototyping for exciting new product launches are well underway and will be revealed in the coming months, further complimenting the product range.
A powered version of the MT Push will soon to be available, it says, and a Kids Adaptation Kit which will be compatible with all products is being finalised which will make the purchasing process simpler for parents.
Each Mountain Trike product is assembled at the company’s manufacturing unit in the UK. With many adaptions and a modular system it allows customers flexibility for a more personal setup for their individual and changing needs. Its distributers include Snowdrop Independent Living in South Wales.https://thiis.co.uk/all-terrain-wheelchair-firm-mountain-trike-company-marks-10-years-of-growth-and-development/https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MT-outdoors-2.jpg?fit=900%2C563&ssl=1https://i1.wp.com/thiis.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/MT-outdoors-2.jpg?resize=150%2C150&ssl=1Awards & AchievementsNewsroomSupplier NewsTrade Newsaccessible,All-terrain,Mobility,Mountain Trike Company,outdoors,Trikes,wheelchairCheshire-based off-road wheelchair specialist Mountain Trike Company has marked its 10-year anniversary this month.
