Alerta Medical launches new device to assist with standing and turning at home
Medical equipment manufacturer Alerta Medical have launched a new device to help a carer or attendant assist a user to transfer between a seat, bed, toilet, commode or wheelchair by standing and turning.
The Standing Turner comes with Alerta’s GlideTurn easy swivel base, height-adjustable handle, height-adjustable padded knee pads, sturdy steel frame and tool free assembly.
Promoting user engagement and helping to enhance mobility, to use this device, the user requires enough arm, leg and body strength to stand up and remain in the standing position. For users who lack these attributes, an Alerta Standaid hoist or Alerta MoveAssist is recommended.
According to Alerta Medical, the product is easy to use and beneficial to all environments, whether it be at home, or in a hospital or nursing home.
Ian Lindberg, CEO at Alerta Medical, commented: “Alerta are delighted to bring yet another new product to market enhancing mobility and improving lives by easing patient transfers.
“Through careful planning the new Standing Turner incorporates many key features such as Alerta’s GlideTurn easy swivel base.”
