Alerta Medical launch wireless under-mattress mat to support patient safety
Medical equipment manufacturer Alerta Medical has launched a wireless under-mattress mat to help support patient safety, comfort and dignity.
The new Wireless Under Mattress Alertamat has been designed with practicality, comfort, and the user and caregiver in mind, providing a unique solution to helping caregivers ensure the safety of the patient.
It is positioned directly on to the bed frame platform, where it is concealed under the mattress; activating the alarm when a user leaves their bed. It means users benefit from the full effect of pressure relief mattresses, as well as enhancing restful sleep patterns while alerting the caregiver to ascertain the user’s safety. The alarm is reset automatically when the user returns to the bed.
The mat connects wirelessly to the nurse call system via the Alerta Wall Point Receiver for centralised activation, using the Alerta transmitter with its own individual delay function ability if required. The volume can be deactivated for silent in-room operation when connected to a nurse call system.
Its wireless connect-and-play system means there are no cables, making it extra safe and versatile, and the antibacterial material is hygienic and easy to clean.
