Alcove achieves milestone 1,000th referral through care technology service
Alcove, a provider of technology solutions and services for elderly care, has announced a significant milestone in its partnership with the London Borough of Richmond and London Borough of Wandsworth.
The care technology service is called ‘Gloria’, and is designed to enhance the quality of life for adults and unpaid carers, and has recently marked its 1000th technology referral.
The Gloria service is a pioneering solution that leverages cutting-edge care technology to provide comprehensive care and support for adults enabling them to maintain their independence while staying connected to family, friends and their unpaid carers.
Through the partnership with the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and the London of Borough of Wandsworth, Alcove has been able to make a substantial impact on the lives of local residents.
By combining state-of-the-art technology with compassionate care, the Alcove Gloria service has become an essential resource for adults and their family and friends in the region. This achievement highlights success and the growing importance of Alcove’s Gloria Service in helping to meet the needs of residents in both boroughs.

During 2020, Alcove and Richmond and Wandsworth delivered 200 Video Carephones to people across the boroughs of Richmond and Wandsworth as a direct response the Covid-19 pandemic, supporting thousands of people to stay connected, preventing loneliness and isolation during a period of uncertainty.
Alcove specialises in delivering personalised care technology and managed services for local authorities, the NHS, housing associations and sheltered accommodation providers across the country. It currently has a contract to deliver Suffolk County Council’s innovative care technology service.
