Easy Bathrooms has launched its own, new range of accessible baths – the Easy Living range – as well as a variety of accessories and parts.

The move comes following the trend of other large national retailers, such as Amazon and Argos, entering the mobility market by launching their own range of products, such as mobility scooters and walking aids.

Reporting that it has invested £30,000 into the development of the new walk-in baths, Easy Bathrooms says that its new products are safe and easy to access for people of all ages and abilities. The retailer added that each design can fit into a range of spaces, from en-suites to large bathrooms.

Neil Bell, Head of Retail at Easy Bathrooms, said: “Homes are becoming more and more multigenerational, meaning that they need to cater to family members of all ages and abilities.

“These baths are now an additional option, alongside wetrooms – they are designed specifically to help the end user to live a more comfortable life, while ensuring they maximise the use of space, even in the tiniest of rooms.”

Easy Bathrooms’ new Vestra bath is 945mm x 170mm and features a screen and an electronically-operated glass door, which remains locked until all water has been drained, avoiding leaks. The Vestra also has a low-threshold height, which enables easier access. The retailer’ Truo unit has similar features, but is also available in high gloss black.

The smallest unit in the new Easy Living range is the Munro, at 650mm x 900mm, with an inward-opening door and a moulded seat, allowing users to sit down while they bathe.

Alongside its new baths, Easy Bathrooms is also offering thermostatic showers, which reduce the risk of scalding, and textured floor tiles, which minimise the possibility of slipping.
