Ableworld Southampton launches largest stairlift showroom on the South Coast
National mobility retailer Ableworld has launched its new stairlift showroom in Southampton, which is one of the largest in the UK.
Alongside the new stairlift showroom, 14 stairlift demonstrations are also available for customers, allowing them to ‘try before they buy.’
The showroom is situated within the Ableworld Mobility Superstore in Woolston, Southampton, which has been trading for nearly 5 years. Many additions have been made to the store since its opening, including a new Engineering Workshop, where regular servicing and safety checks of mobility scooters, powerchairs and wheelchairs takes place.
To mark the opening of the new showroom, Mayor of Southampton Stephen Barnes-Andrews cut the ribbon alongside Ableworld directors Steven and Jeff Newman, healthcare professionals, suppliers and customers.
On the launch day, CPD training sessions were given to healthcare professionals on stairlift assessments and ‘Moving and Handling,’ with the retailer looking to hold more training sessions in the future.
Ableworld’s store stocks both new and reconditioned stairlifts and also offers a wide range of stairlifts which can be rented.
Additionally, the store stocks a variety of over one thousand products, including mobility scooters, wheelchairs, adjustable beds and rise and recline chairs. It also provides a wide range of products to help with bathing, toileting and dressing, as well as continence care products.
