Ableworld showroom

Nationwide mobility retailer Ableworld has announced the opening of its 42nd store in Cheltenham by early 2025.

Located on Tewkesbury Road, in the former American Golf premises next to the Sue Ryder Charity Shop, the store will span 3,500 square feet and feature around 1,500 product lines ready for customers to take away.

The new Cheltenham store has been carefully selected to complement Ableworld’s existing Gloucester location, strengthening the company’s presence in the region. This expansion will also bring five new jobs to the local community.

An Ableworld spokesesperson said: “Ableworld is committed to providing comprehensive support, offering a full engineering service in the area for the repair and maintenance of mobility products. Additionally, our in-house stairlift division often provides next-day installation.

“Ableworld’s continued growth reflects its dedication to empowering individuals with mobility needs, and the Cheltenham store is a testament to the company’s commitment to improving accessibility for all.”

Earlier this year Ableworld secured a position in the prestigious Elite Franchise Top 100 (EF100) for 2024, marking its second year on the sought-after list.
