Ableworld Promotions
Mobility retailer Ableworld has announced internal promotions, new job positions, and a restructure of departments ahead of its busy spring and summer promotions.

Now in its 21st year of trading, the company recently announced the appointment of Tonya Page as a new company Board member.

Tonya joined the company as Customer Liaison Officer in 2013 and, according to Ableworld, she has worked through the ranks to her latest position because of her skills, commitment and professionalism in both her overall role in managing staff and wider issues involved in the business.

Tonya will join Ableworld’s existing Board members to share her customer service knowledge and to help the company develop.

Over the past 12 months Ableworld has promoted 29 members of staff, equating to 20 per cent of their workforce, and it has created an additional 33 new roles within the business.

Significant promotions have included Neil Proctor into Senior IT, Systems & Projects Manager, Nicola Hough promoted to HR Manager, and Julie Nurton as Admin/Buying Manager.

Within the Marketing Department there have been three promotions, with Ellie Emerton into Senior Marketing Manager, and Rhian Pita and Grace Hughes as Marketing Managers.

The company is also set to restructure its accounts department and are increasing its staff numbers to be able to continue to support their Franchisees and company owned stores.

Across its Cheshire-based Head office, its Buying, Operations, Marketing, Customer Liaison and Stairlift teams have all seen new starters who have settled in well to their roles.

Also, as a large advocate of developing its physical stores, the company has invested in a number of additional store roles across its 38 stores, as well as further engineering roles imminently ready for spring/summer trading.

Despite the ongoing uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Ableworld has continued to grow in store numbers and staff in 2021. The retailer also announced triple award success in December 2021 in recognition of its charity and customer service work.
