September marked a record-breaking month for THIIS online, with the B2B mobility and access news website seeing 51,336 users visiting 76,020 pages to stay informed with the latest news and insights.

The spike in visitors and page views continues to see a rise in people seeking detailed and accurate information during the coronavirus pandemic, with content focusing on retail guidance, Job Support Scheme details and government lockdown measures proving particularly popular.

It comes as the government announced a new raft of new restrictions in September, including the requirement for retailers to wear face masks by law. Last month also saw Chancellor Rishi Sunak unveil the Job Support Scheme ahead of the end of the government’s furlough scheme at the end of October.

A significant proportion of the website traffic was also attributed to THIIS’ new trade hub, THIIS Connect. Launched in August, THIIS Connect enables buyers of mobility and access tech to discover suppliers in specific product categories, as well as learn more about key product ranges.

Calvin Barnett, Editor for THIIS Magazine, commented: “Throughout the pandemic, the team at THIIS has focused on providing detailed information that would help businesses in the mobility and access industry navigate the uncertainty of the coronavirus.

“With so many announcements coming from the government, keeping track of what is relevant can be difficult, particularly when some of the important details are missing when measures are first unveiled. As the industry enters a potentially difficult autumn and winter, we will continue to focus on providing the news and insights business leaders in the industry need to make informed decisions.”

In addition to THIIS Connect, September also saw the launch of the British Healthcare Trade Show. Held in February 2021 in Leeds, the trade-exclusive event will aim to connect buyers and sellers in the mobility, access and independent living industry together ahead of the important spring/summer trading season.

Alongside website traffic rising steeply, THIIS also witnessed a substantial rise in businesses subscribing to receive its long-running, trusted monthly print magazine as well. To subscribe for free to receive THIIS in print, click here.
