Mobility retailer reaches awards finals for a second consecutive year

Karen Sheppard, Managing Director of People First Mobility, has been announced as a finalist for the Lifetime Achievement in Business Award at the East Lindsey Business Awards 2018.

No stranger to business awards, the Skegness-based retailer has won an impressive 10 accolades in the last five years and was a finalist for Independent Retailer of the Year at last year’ East Lindsey’s awards.

Discussing the Lifetime Achievement in Business Award, Karen told THIIS: "To be a finalist for a Lifetime Achievement Award against some very strong contenders is an incredible achievement and I hope that through my journey I have inspired others. 

"It shows that no matter what challenges life brings your way that strength, determination, courage, passion and commitment can help lead you to great success." 

Karen’s 16 years in the mobility industry has seen her network with leaders of industry overcome remarkable challenges and walk the corridors of Downing Street.

Commenting about the applications, Simon Beardsley, Chief Executive at Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce, said: "This is the first year that Lincolnshire Chamber have been involved in the East Lindsey Awards and on behalf of myself and the judging panel I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who applied this year.

The winners will be announced at an award ceremony held on the 27th April at the Southview Park Hotel in Skegness.
