Japanese robotic manufacturer in search of UK mobility dealers

After launching their subsidiary in Bristol on the 11th October, tmsuk, Japan’s number one robot seller, is turning its attention to the UK and European market and seeking dealers to build its network.

The company has been creating robots since 1993, working with a number of companies and universities to produce devices in a number of sectors, including mobility.

Now tmsuk has opened a sales and marketing office in the UK and hopes to wow customers with its unique RODEM mobility vehicle.

Described as a ‘Universal Vehicle’, the device features a unique method of getting onto the chair; sliding in from the back rather than from the front.

According to the company, this allows for easier transfers from a bed or toilet without changing the orientation of a user’s body, as well as removing the load from a user’s back and dispersing it across the chest, knees and bottom of a user. The chair features an intuitive remote control and can also be controlled remotely via a smartphone app.

tmsuk plans to launch the commercial version of the RODEM in Japan this November and should be available for sale in the UK in April 2018. The company is looking for distributors that have the ability to provide maintenance support and says tmsuk will provide all training required.
