Circly (known as Pieni piiri in Finnish), nominated on November as the best mobile service for the elderly in Finland, has now opened a crowdfunding round on FundedByMe. The round is expected to close at least €50 000 equity from private investors. €18 726 has been raised already from Finland, Sweden, Italy, Luxembourg and Spain.

HMA Digital Marketing, the Centre for Assistive Technology and Connected Healthcare (CATCH) at the University of Sheffield, and Tunstall Healthcare are collaborating to develop 'mHealth Assist', a mobile health platform. mHealth Assist will support healthcare management and independent living for people with long-term conditions, providing personalised healthcare information and customised support.

Tunstall Healthcare has joined the Argenti Telehealthcare Partnership to deliver telecare services to vulnerable adults in Hampshire. The Argenti Telehealthcare Partnership is led by PA Consulting and comprises Tunstall Healthcare, O2, CareCalls, Medvivo and Magna Careline. Argenti is working towards the promotion and delivery of assistive technology to improve regional care services. The Partnership has recently been chosen by Hampshire County Council to deliver mainstream telecare services, as part of its work to transform Adult Services in the area.

Experts from across Northern Ireland have gathered to mark the success of the Telemonitoring NI service. The service, which is being provided by the TF3 Consortium in conjunction with the five health and social care trusts, is designed to transform patient care across Northern Ireland by enabling better control over their health and improving care outcomes, and has benefitted 1,500 patients to date.

New study suggests home based telehealth does not improve generic quality of life for patients with long term conditions

Telehealth does not improve generic health related quality of life or psychological outcomes for patients with long term conditions over 12 months, finds a study published on bmj.com.
As such, the researchers say "it should not be used as a tool to achieve improvements in generic health related quality of life or psychological outcomes.”
